ACF has essentially two major social activities –

  1. Running Amba Health Centre and Hospital (AHCH) offering state of the art facilities to the needy in surrounding areas at highly subsidized rates.
  2. Running “Nirant”, an Old Age Home, which currently is home to around Eighty (80) senior citizens.

 

Amba Health Centre and Hospital (AHCH)

The Foundation runs the Hospital located at Simandhar City, Trimandir Sankul, Adalaj and it is the main source of affordable medical care for population from nearby villages (Uvarsad, Shertha, Jamyatpura, Dhanaj, Adalaj etc.)

The 2 Storeyed Amba Health Centre and Hospital in Adalaj, Gandhinagar is the only one of its kind within a 10km radius. The Hospital has three out-patient wings viz. Allopathy, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, 15 bedded air conditioned rooms, Modular operation theatre, Emergency and ICU ward, motorised beds, separate physiotherapy section, 24 x 7 Ambulance & Pharmacy Service, Health care check-ups and much more. More than 15 types of Orthopaedic surgeries including knee replacement, arthroscopy, etc., approx. 10 types of Gynec surgeries including various kind of laparoscopies, other general surgeries such as cataract, ENT and dental surgeries, biopsy, skin grafting, etc. are being conducted by more than 50 specialised surgeons.

 

The Hospital caters yearly more than 1,50,000 patients.

The Foundation holds free medical camps providing physical, diagnostic and follow up treatment and care. The attempt is to also include people from weaker sections of society especially children and women from surrounding areas. Apart from the medical camps, frequent awareness camps for Heart, Kidney, Eyes, Aids and other ailments such as swine flu, dengue are held. The idea is that prevention is better than cure. The specialists who are invited conduct such programmes on a complimentary basis.

During Covid Pandemic, the Hospital was approved as a private COVID care Hospital by the collector, Gandhinagar. Covid medicines, pulse-oximeter, thermometer etc. were provided free or at nominal charges to needy patients. Ventilators, high flow cannulas, HDUs, oxygen cylinders were made available for causalities of Covid patients. Round the clock services provided by the volunteers. The hospital environment was immensely supported by spiritual prayers and positive efforts.

Nirant – an Old Age Home

The Foundation runs and manages “Nirant”, an old age home for senior citizens regardless of caste, creed, religion and gender. It is a home away from home for elderly persons who are in need of shelter, love, affection, reverence and comforts. They are being taken care in their old age and sickness. “Nirant” offers a place where they can interact with their peers and spend their rest of the life in a peaceful atmosphere.

Special attention is given to their rooms and kitchen facilities by the management to provide a neat and homely accommodation including regular maintenance and good, wholesome and nutritious food. Safety and hygiene are of paramount importance. For example, the bathrooms have anti-skid tiles, grab bars and rooms have emergency alarm systems. Local transportation facility is also available.

Apart from looking after their basic needs, they also have round the clock access to doctors, health care facilities apart from regular health check-ups.

Amongst other things, “Nirant” undertakes various activities, celebrates important festivals and provides a forum to the residents to live a socially and culturally active life also. Residents also go for picnics and excursions locally.

Interactive Discourses (Satsangs)

The spiritual head of the organization is Pujya Deepakbhai Desai. He travels across the country to provide social and spiritual guidance to people from all walks of life. Pujya Deepakbhai addresses the burning issues for all human beings – “the search for peace, harmony and ultimate bliss” not only with one’s own self, but also with those around us. 

The satsangs organised by the Foundation are in question-answer format and comprises of wide variety of questions ranging from subtlest spiritual to gross worldly issues /problems /doubts. The satsangs are complimentary, open to public at large without any discrimination of caste, colour, religion or creed.  The same encompasses to social and personal issues like generation gap, harmony in married life, noble use of money, anger, worry etc.  The answers to social/personal issues with underlying spirituality provide practical solutions which results in making life blissful.
